Last week, we hosted our largest in-person event since COVID, and it was a resounding success. The Honorable Mayor Marilyn Ezzy Ashcraft gave an invigorating State of the City, and a panel of City leaders answered questions about the future of our wonderful area.

The event filled me with such excitement about the future. I hope–if you joined us–that you felt the same way. It was an extraordinary time, and everyone was engaged with the information presented.

We have three signature events left this year–two in June and one in October. The Chamber Foundation is hosting a golf outing (June 3) that serves as a fundraiser for the Foundation’s scholarship that it awards every year to graduating seniors from Alameda high schools. Speaking of, if you know a graduating senior, there is still time for them to apply for this year’s scholarship award.

Next up is our Business Excellence Awards (June 16). The winners were announced at the State of the City, but they’re also listed in this newsletter. We hope you’ll attend the award event to be held on board the Cabernet Sauvignon. It will be a special night of celebration with a casino theme!

Finally, watch this space for information about our Annual Alameda Economic Forecast scheduled for October 6th. Our audience loves that event because it helps them plan for the following year. You’ll want to get your tickets early as we expect another sell out.

Here at the Chamber, we are working hard to ensure you have the information and resources you need to be successful. If there’s something you’re missing, let us know.
