The island of Alameda is a hidden gem in the Bay Area, with beautiful beaches and shop-lined streets. On any given afternoon you can find families, neighbors, and tourists making their way through the town to experience all it has to offer, from Spirits Alley full of wineries, breweries, and distilleries, to the main city's fine dining and entertainment, art galleries, and museums, and much more. Alameda is south west of Berkeley, adjacent to Oakland, and across the bay eastward from San Francisco. Most of the city is located on the island, and is a city within Alameda County.
